Free Unix Timestamp Converter

Convert Unix timestamps in seconds or milliseconds to UTC, or an ISO date to epoch time. Explicit timezones keep conversions predictable.

How to use this tool

Translate an epoch value from a log or API into a readable UTC date. You can also supply an ISO date with a timezone to get both Unix seconds and milliseconds.

  1. Enter an integer epoch value or an ISO date with a timezone.
  2. For numeric input, select seconds or milliseconds.
  3. Run the converter to see UTC and both epoch units.

Example to try

0 seconds → 1970-01-01T00:00:00.000Z ISO input: 2026-10-16T12:00:00Z

Supported use and limits

Dates must include seconds and an explicit timezone, such as Z or +05:30. The numeric unit is chosen manually; the tool does not guess it from the number of digits.

Why does my converted date look wrong?

Check whether your source uses seconds or milliseconds. A milliseconds value interpreted as seconds gives a very different date. The displayed date is UTC, which may differ from your local time.
