How to use this tool

Organize a small expense list into categories and inspect the totals. Classification uses fixed keyword rules, so the result is predictable and unrecognized descriptions stay in Other.

  1. Enter expenses as a JSON array or one description - amount per line.
  2. Keep all amounts in the same currency; use negative values for refunds.
  3. Run the categorizer, review each assignment and check the totals.

Supported use and limits

No bank connection, currency conversion or tax treatment is provided. Keyword matches can be imperfect. Review categories manually, especially ambiguous merchants and entries labeled Other.

Does this tool learn my custom categories?

No. It uses the same built-in keyword rules on each run and does not train on your entries. It is a sorting aid for review, not a substitute for bookkeeping decisions.
