How to use this tool
Encode text for a Base64 field or a URL parameter, or decode it back into readable UTF-8. Choose the operation explicitly so the tool knows which encoding to use.
- Select Base64 encode, Base64 decode, URL encode or URL decode.
- Paste your text, including any whitespace you want to preserve.
- Run the conversion and copy the output.
Example to try
Base64 encode: Hello → SGVsbG8= URL encode: hello world → hello%20world
Supported use and limits
This is a text converter, not a binary file converter. Base64 decoding expects valid padded Base64. URL operations encode a component, not an entire URL; URL decoding keeps + as a literal plus sign.
Does Base64 keep my text secret?
No. Base64 is a reversible representation, not encryption. The text is sent to this server for processing, so use sample data rather than private credentials.
